Full Moon Rituals are an integral part of manifestation practice & have ceremonial roots in all human cultures, from the beginning of our time on this planet. The Full Moon is a time when the Moon, which represents our yin (feminine) energy, is full & bright in the night sky. Feminine traits are intensified & highlighted, including our vulnerabilities, sensitivities & emotions & how we love, care & nurture ourselves, others & the planet.
A Full Moon occurs when the Moon opposites the Sun on opposite sides of the Earth, so the Moon is fully illuminated.
Often associated with chaos, madness, intensity & volatility, in both the emotional & physical body, the Full Moon can be an uncomfortable time where that which has been repressed comes to the surface & that which has been hidden is revealed.
Some claim to feel a strong gravitational pull on their body & soul, or a weight to their physical plane. Scientifically, the gravity of the Sun & the Moon pull on the Earth during a time of the Full Moon, which is the cause of more extreme tides during this lunar phase.
Often believed to be a time of manifestation, the Full Moon is actually a time for release, coinciding with the waning Lunar Phase, to create a clean slate for two weeks until the New Moon, the time when manifestation rituals should take place. However, it is still important to hold intentions during a Full Moon & keep our most dear manifestation in the back of our mind.
Each month the Full Moon is in a different sign, encouraging us to work with particular elements to know what aspects of self we need to release.

-
Dust the surfaces of the home or space including shelves, tables, counters, floor board edges, windowsills & floors. Vacuum rugs. Remove all old food from the fridge & pantries. Take out all the trash. This establishes a clean slate to allow the manifestation to come in. Water all house & outdoor plants. This is also an ideal time to clean out organize any closets, drawers & cabinets.
Cleanse the physical body in a ritualistic bath. Add salts, oils, flower petals, or herbs to a tub of warm water. A nettle or mugwort infusion can be a wonderful addition to a Full Moon bath. We can follow our own intuition to create a perfect bathing cocktail, as our body knows what it needs. A bath also helps calm the nervous system & mind, which is useful for us as we focus, ground & meditate during the ritual.
Smudge the home, space & body by lighting the smudge & using the smoke to clear. Clear any area that holds intense & stagnant energy, such as above the bed, under the bed, all corners of the home & closets.
