Uranus, the ice giant, is the rebel of the solar system as he is tilted dramatically on his side and rotates nearly perpendicular to its orbit. It has 28 known moons, known collectively as the Literary Moons as the majority of them are named after Shakespeare characters like Miranda, Ariel, Umbriel, Titania and Oberon in addition to a few Alexander Pope characters.

Uranus rules the sign of the Aquarius, the harsh, winter wind of the zodiac. Aquarius is detached from the repercussions of its pursuit for liberation, innovation and a collective vision, which requires rebellion to break free from convention, stimulate progress and create a new world order.

Mythology

Uranus was the primordial sky god, born of Gaia (Earth) alone. He fathered the Titans, including Saturn, who overthrew him and cut off his genitalia, which created Venus when cast into the sea.
