Neptune is the blue, mysterious ice giant with supersonic winds. It has 16 known moons, the largest being Triton with a backward orbit, a nod to Neptune’s strange, otherworldly quality. 14 of the moons are named after lesser sea gods and nymphs.

Mythology

Neptune is the son of Saturn and Ops and brother of Jupiter and Pluto. He was given dominion over the seas after Saturn was overthrown. Famous for his trident and his volatile, fiercely creative nature, Neptune energy can whip up brutal storms or calm rough waters.
